Art is as much design as it is capture.
If it excites me in some way, I’ll paint it. From a design standpoint, I love lines and shape, yet am attracted to disheveled forms that defy structure.
Paint takes me places.
I often work without preliminary sketches, using colour, emotion, and the medium itself to direct composition. My art is about throwing a net over hidden things, and hauling them to a canvas.
